

ABOUT ELLY
Elly Roseberry (she/her), mezzo-soprano, started her singing career in children’s choirs and productions with her local NorthStar Opera Repertory Company and Shasta Community Theatre productions. After obtaining her undergraduate music degree in Indiana, she returned for her Masters in Vocal Performance from San Diego State University. Stage highlights in opera and musical theatre include Madame Baba (The Medium), Mother (Amahl & the Night Visitors), Princess Winnifred (Once Upon a Mattress), and Little Red (Into the Woods). Elly has been a sought-after singer in San Diego since 2012, collaborating with prestigious organizations such as the San Diego Symphony (featured trio with Jodi Benson and Donna McKechnie, 2015), Art of Elan, L.A. Choral Lab, and SACRA/PROFANA.
As an Educator, Elly has a passion for music education and helping singers find their voice and joy in singing. She enjoys singing and teaching contemporary music as well, and has been nurturing a growing interest in voice-centric healing, extended vocal techniques, and somatic practices. Besides her thriving private Voice Studio for all ages, Elly holds a Voice Faculty position at Villa Musica - San Diego’s Community Music Center. Recognized as a master teacher, she has received invitations to coach groups and ensembles, and lead camps, classes, and community education programs in the greater San Diego region. In 2023, Elly led Professional Development for music teachers in the San Diego Unified School District, alongside Voice Coaching with their school choirs throughout the year. In 2024 Elly will serve as Vocal Director for Valhalla High School in Grossmont School District. She recently left her position as soloist and Alto Section Leader of the Village Church Chancel Choir in Rancho Santa Fe with Juan Carlos Acosta (2015-2024).
